TikTok can be a very useful tool for promoting businesses when used correctly. It is important to create content that engages users and creates an interaction between the user and the business. This will ensure they are actually consuming the content, and will also make the content more visible to other users. It is important to engage with users in a way that makes sense for your business, but here are 5 tips for creating engaging content on your page.


1. Use Real People

Using real people in videos will make the videos more familiar-feeling and relatable to those watching the video. This will also catch the attention of the viewer if they recognize the people in the video. Recognizability of the actors will create a longer viewing time than videos of people that are not recognizable. Encouraging user-generated videos will also increase engagement.

2. Remixing Trends

Trends change quickly, especially on TikTok. Trends rarely last more than a week or two, which makes it hard to keep up with them. Remixing trends is one way to create engaging content without having to try and stay on top of trends. This could mean speeding up, slowing down, or just changing something minor in a previous trend to get more use out of it.


3. Suspense

Creating a storyline helps keep the viewer captivated. Using suspense will increase this even more. People want to be entertained and creating suspense is an easy way to engage viewers. TikTok videos are short, so it can be difficult to create a captivating video, but suspense is a great way to get the attention of viewers.


4. Product Use

There is a reason the GRWM, or Get Ready With Me, Trend has been so popular and has been incredibly long-lasting in TikTok time. Each creator uses a different combination of beauty products and puts them on in a different way, which is engaging to viewers wanting to know more about products, how to use them, and how they work. Showing viewers how to use your product is a great way to showcase what it can do.

5. Call-To-Action

The easiest way to get a consumer to do something we want them to is to tell them to do it. First, you need to tell them all the reasons they should be doing or buying something, but then you have to tell them to buy it. One without the other rarely works. This can be anything from asking for a follow, a comment, or clicking on a link to buy something.



TikTok engagement is important to keep your business relevant on the platform. The more engaged your viewers are, the more you will show up on other pages. Using tools to increase engagement, such as user-generated content and calls to action will help ensure your engagement is maximized.
