What is Social Media Marketing?

Social Media Marketing is a concept that has not been a new term. In fact, Social Media has been around for a very long time. So what is social media marketing. One could probably guess what exactly it is, but if not, Hubspot's article, Social Media Marketing: The Ultimate Guide, Social media marketing is the process of creating content for social media platforms to promote your products and/or services, build community with your target audience, and drive traffic to your business. So in a dumbed-down version, essentially when you use marketing on social media platforms like Twitter or Facebook, then you are doing Social Media Marketing. Sometimes we probably do not even realize that we are marketing on our platforms when we are. That is how important social media

marketing is.

How Important is Social Media Marketing?

We know that social media is used every single day. We unconsciously look at our phones every day at every minute, so we know how important marketing can be with social media marketing. Billions of people are on social media every day, so this is why companies are using the platform for marketing. With so many people on social media, increasing your brand awareness is made easier by using these tools. Also, according to Hubspot's article, Social Media Marketing: The Ultimate Guide, it also is extremely easy to boost your leads and conversion rates. Another example they point out is that you are consistently learning from your customers. This is extremely important for your company because it will allow you to stay ahead of the game. One last point to make is some stats on why it works.
