Social media platforms each have their own niche and audience. There may be single users that frequent different platforms, but typically for much different reasons. Understanding who those users are and why they are on each platform is key in knowing what types of posts to publish. Instagram posts are much different from Facebook or Twitter posts, so here are 3 steps to make Instagram posts a breeze!

color scheme

  1. Who knew a color scheme could have so much impact on a marketing campaign? Colors are linked to different psychological responses and can be used to subconsciously create certain feelings or evoke emotion in consumers without them being aware. For example, the color red can cause hunger, while the color blue is associated with curbing hunger. Keep your intended result in mind when choosing the colors in your post.

You have your colors chosen, so now you need to decide what you will post about. As a business, you don't want to be seen as simply a brand or a place to buy something. You need to humanize your brand...make it relatable to the consumer. Giving potential customers a glimpse into the lives of those at the company, or insight into projects in the works will make consumers feel like they are more personally connected with the brand.

A caption is the hat that brings your whole post together. A catchy caption can draw attention to a post that some may not otherwise take the time to look at. Whether it is a contest, a call-to-action, or just a simple branding post, the caption should always convey the intended message. Asking for customer engagement is a great way to see more interaction with posts. Posing a question, asking consumers to choose between products, or even simply directing them to tag a friend are all ways to caption a post that will help increase engagement. Hashtags are also a really quick way to highlight the message you are looking to communicate.
