Are you having trouble creating content for your social media platforms? Do you know how to create content that improves your business? After all, as marketers our common goal it to successfully brand and bring market success to the business. Start by creating powerful social media content to boost brand performance.

Powerful Social Media Content

First, what does it mean to have powerful social media content? When looking at what should be included in a social media post it is important to make it engaging, relevant, and visually appealing. These are all aspects of a social media post that should be considered when creating content. There are many different content strategies that a brand can use to post on platforms. Social media has key functions that can help a brand and ultimately the brands performance. As marketers, let us use social media to our advantage to create content that will help our brand.

Brand Performance

What is brand performance and why is it important? Brand performance is a way to analyze a company’s branding and marketing success. It is important to evaluate a brands performance to understand how and what to do to create success for the brand. Improving brand performance will create brand loyalty, recognition, and increase sales. To boost brand performance, a company should create, post, and organize content to share on social media platforms. This will help the brand be successful when creating and posting social media content.

 3 Tips & Tricks

1)    Short-form Content

Short-form content includes any content that can be easy and quick to read, watch, or listen to. This type of content is intended to be consumed in a couple of minutes or less. An example of this content in video form is by creating content for Instagram Reels ads or TikTok. This content can also be found through infographics, email marketing, or podcasts. It has been shown that after watching short-form content, 79% of people have purchased a product.

Short-form Content Essentials:

o   Use full-screen videos by resizing it to 9:16.

o   Use audio to make your ads entertaining.

o   Keep your message clear and concise. (Still reflecting the brands voice.)

o   Pay attention to popular trends and participate in them.

o   Include engaging imagery.

Using short-form content allows for a brand to connect with their audience in a short amount of time. This type of content helps capture the consumers attention and continuing to build brand awareness. Boosting overall performance on social media platforms can be done by creating short-form content.

2)    Branded Content

A marketer creates branded content to promote engagement between the brand and the audience. When publishing branded content it should add value to the consumer while still reflecting the brand. Brands use branded content to increase product consideration (31% of brands) and to drive sales (29% of brands).

Branded Content Fundamentals:

o   Create balanced content between entertainment and informational value.

o   Use multimedia and add interactive features.

o   Publish on multiple social media platforms.

o   Use other content creation strategies by collaborating with others. (Influencers, paid partnerships, etc.)

o   Create content that enhances storytelling.

Branded content helps improve overall customer experience and brand awareness. Allow the content to highlight the brands values. That includes creating meaningful relationships with target audiences and engaging them through the content that is being shared on social media platforms. It helps strengthen the brands reputation and credibility to consumers. The benefit of creating branded content is the end goal of increasing sales and product consideration.

3)    Social Media Calendar

Creators use social media calendars to help track and maintain social media posting strategy. This allows for planning and scheduling posts ahead of time. Scheduling posts ahead of time helps the team stay on top of creating and posting content. In addition, a calendar helps to collaborate with other team members.

Maintaining a Social Media Calendar:

o   Schedule posts on the calendar. (Be specific by including the date and time.)

o   Work as a team to plan posts.

o   Follow-up by reviewing reports.

Social media calendars help the content creators of a brand stay organized. A shared calendar between all team members helps communicate and organize campaigns or projects. This allows for optimal communication between team members. It can also highlight holidays and national or international days that is relevant to the brand. Social media holds value to brands and marketers success. Creating social media content is much greater than just posting. It takes time, thought, and effort to create a well-rounded post that are powerful. Powerful content such as short-form and branded content will help connect the brand to the consumers. This content is meaningful and will help engage consumers with the brand. In addition to creating content, it is important to know how to organize and post the content. This is where a calendar for a team can be helpful. A calendar helps to ensure that posts are being created and published on time.
