Can TikTok Help Me Grow My Brand?

Why TikTok?

Many brands have begun turning to TikTok to connect with their audience. The social media platform offers more than just prank videos, dance videos, and trending challenges. The site also offers companies the ability to create entertainment content and connect to their target audience on a deeper and more personal level.


Asides from connecting to your audience on a more personal level TikTok also provides companies the opportunity to increase brand awareness, promote products and services, broaden their reach, grow their audiences, and attract new customers. There are many ways in which a company can implement TikTok marketing into their mix. TikTok can help bring the desired visibility to your brand. Your products, services, and brand need to be in front of more people. TikTok is currently being used by over 100 million users in the U.S. and that number is rapidly growing.

TikTok has a very unique and responsive algorithm that allows the user to view content that is specifically curated to them on something called the "for you page." An added benefit of this algorithm is that if your content is served to a user then there is a good chance that they are already interested.






Types of Content Your Brand Can Use

Unlike other social media platforms, TikTok actually encourages the user to 'copy' others' videos. This isn't meant to rip off the original creator but instead allows the TikTok community to collectively be a part of something, and even gives users the opportunity to put their own creative spin on things. Educational content is a growing space on TikTok. Rather than drawn-out tutorials, you can focus on bite-size tips that will encourage your audience to interact more with your account, follow you, and can even generate leads through the links on your profile.


Aside from these, you can also make fun informative videos detailing what a typical day looks like for your brand. These videos are known as "a-day-in-the-life" and have been growing in popularity. The possibilities are endless when it comes to TikTok marketing and you shouldn't limit yourself to the information on this and other blogs. Be creative and allow your audience to connect on a personal level. Who knows maybe your brand will be the next DuoLingo of TikTok.


Helpful Tips and Tricks

  • Don't be scared to let loose and show your fun side. Your audience wants to feel a personal connection to you.

  • Join in on the latest trend. Whether that's doing a day in the life vlog or the latest dance trend. Joining in on current trends gives brands greater exposure.

  • Use hashtags that are trending to both grow engagement and visibility and to research possible content creators to partner with.

Remember to be creative and have fun. TikTok's algorithm is very complex and offers user's the ability to have a feed curated just for them. If your video comes up on their feed that means they're most likely aware of your brand already.
