We all know that one of the most popular forms of social media marketing is video. People tend to enjoy watching videos because they like visuals. However, there are many ways that you can incorporate your YouTube video or have other forms of content such as written, infographics, and audio. In this blog, we will be providing you with three helpful tips on how you can incorporate video into these other forms of content or incorporate these other forms of content into your videos.
Tip #1: Incorporate Your YouTube Video In A Blog Post
A great way to drive more traffic to your YouTube channel is by incorporating your YouTube video(s) into blog posts. This is a good way to not only drive more traffic to your channel but also a good way to keep your readers engaged. When clicking the link they will be directed to your channel and given a little break from reading. In addition to this, Social Media Examiner also suggests that “combining YouTube videos with your written content can help you stand out from your competitors.” Of course, you need to make sure that the video you are linking in the blog is relevant to the topic of the blog.

Tip #2: Make an Infographic for Your YouTube Video
Infographics are another type of visual content. As Stated in the Content Marketing Institute, “searches for infographics increased over 50% in March 2020 compared to March 2019.” Infographics are most likely the second most preferred visual content other than videos. However, they are mainly used to display data. Infographics are easy to incorporate into your video or you can even repurpose your YouTube video to make an infographic out of the information you provide IN your video. For example, if you make a video on “How to Paint Your Nails” you could make an infographic outlining the steps in your video. You could then link the infographic to your video and use it for other content.
Tip #3: Make Audio Content with YouTube
I know what you’re thinking…YouTube already includes audio. However, there are many other forms of audio content such as podcasts and e-books. The most popular form of audio content is podcast. This is probably also the easiest one to incorporate into a video. The only thing that differentiates a podcast from a video is the moving imagery. Video includes both the audio and imagery whereas podcasts just include audio. However, by providing your audience with a video podcast you give them the choice to watch and listen or just listen. This concept has become popular enough that YouTube is actually developing a discovery page for podcasts. According to Social Media Today, “Podcasters would be able to feed their audio shows in via RSS, with YouTube offering audio ads, analytics, and more to help them showcase their audio offerings.
Overall, YouTube is one of the most popular platforms that people like to use. But being able to link other content such as blogs, infographics, and podcasts can really help build you and your brand. As social media marketers, you need to understand how to incorporate video, writing, audio, and infographics together. By following the tips provided in this blog you are sure to build your brand using your YouTube channel!
