During the pandemic, the world turned to the arts to pass the time. Whether that be watching a movie or listening to music. During this time everyone turned to social media to spread the word about upcoming events. But now the pandemic has calmed and more people are on social media pushing new ideas and events it can be hard to push your events through the flow of information. Here are three tips to help you reach a larger audience and push your events through the flow of constant information.

Know your target audience

In order to have a successful social media presence, you first need to know who your audience is. Take time to decide what demographic and age you are targeting and find ways to create your content to bring in an audience. Once you start to reach others with your post you need to maintain a steady flow of content and not be afraid to interact with your audience.

Pick your platform

Now that you have an idea of what your target audience is it's time to find a way to reach them. It's time to decide what platform or platforms work best for attracting your audience. Take into consideration of the age range you are targeting. For example, if you are targeting those in generation Z you may consider using TikTok or Instagram. An older audience may be best reached on Facebook. Take some time to figure out what platform meets the needs of your audience and how to reach them. Find what works for you to post

Time to go out with your performing group and take photos, conduct interviews, and get creative. Creating posts on your social media can be a good way to gain attention on social media. And it's completely ok if your first post is not successful but you have to start somewhere. Keep track of what works and what doesn't, for more creative tips check out the blog on Hubspot.
